Bathing Ritual | Temples of Baba Yaga #1

Bathing Ritual following the path of Baba Yaga stories.

We gather to welcome our bodies into a gentle cleansing ritual - allowing ourselves to be washed and resourced.

🌊

“For a long time the maiden drowned in bitter tears; she spent many sleepless nights by the window of her chamber (…)

Finally she went to her father with tears in her eyes and asked for his blessing.“I’m going, I don’t know where,” she said. “

- From Baba Yaga, translated by Sibelan Forrester

🌊

You may know this place - the moment of despair when all hope is lost, when all we can do is fall to the ground, weep, and surrender. Baba yaga’s stories place heavy emphasis on the magical change that happens - once we dissolve into the liquid of weeping.

The tears serve as an anointment to open ourselves to a fluid reality.

Together we invoke the cleansing and regenerating power of water to welcome the tender parts of us, where change is blooming.

------------------WHAT TO EXPECT

- Guidance to connect to the heart, to each other

- Ritual washing in warm water

- - - - - - - -

This event involves nudity and touch.

Please note that your boundaries are respected at all times. You may choose to do the ritual alone and/or fully clothed, letting only your hands be washed if that is your truth. There is no “goal” to achieve.

------------------WHAT IS A TEMPLE?

A temple is a sacred space of remembering. A space where we gather with open hearts and curious minds, to discover ourselves in the mirror of the group being.

When we gather in this intention of generosity, we naturally open a path for ritual and deep connection to the spirit, the self, and community.

By sharing space together, connecting deeply & witnessing non-judgmentally, the possibility of transformation, self realization, and the mystery can naturally unfold.

Please note that unlike many such offerings in Berlin, this temple is not focused on erotic play! Instead, we commune with creative energy through the archetype of Baba Yaga. The activation of creative energy will yield something uniquely different for each individual.

------------------WHO IS BABA YAGA?

Baba Yaga is a central character of Russian folklore, often appearing at great turning points or as frightening life changes unfold. She tends to the portal of change.

Often a bestower of marvellous magical gifts and advice, she has the power to harm or to help. She is depicted as a giant, ugly old woman - and in many tales she is cast as a child kidnapper and murderer. Baba Yaga has the gift of speaking to the animals and to the wind. She is bad-tempered and erratic. Her unpredictability will keep you on your toes - will she will help you or eat you?

To come to her temple is to offer yourself time to steep in the Trickster energy she can embody. She is something utterly wild, a rare thing nowadays. Allow yourself to explore & remember this natural wildness that lives inside you. How will the Trickster emerge through you?

------------------WHO ARE THOSE TEMPLES FOR?

Advanced templars and ninjas of boundaries and consent. We will be spending no time on these topics, assuming you have a solid and weathered practice of being a caring guardian of your own truth and that of others.

Ritual spaces have the potential to provide slippery ground and intense experiences, so strong practices of boundaries/consent are vitally important.
