We meet that primal question tonight in Baba Yaga’s turf, her initiation gates that promise both fertility and death.
We will explore together the power we give to the Monster, the archetypal Chaser that comes to destroy us, and what we can learn through the terror when we slow down enough to feel it all.
Come for experiments in facing the fear.
You’ll need to bring a sacred object you have been gifted, ideally by someone who received your help.

------------------WHAT IS A TEMPLE?
A temple is a sacred space of remembering. We gather with open hearts and curious minds, to discover ourselves in the mirror of the group being.
When we gather in this intention of generosity, we naturally open a path for ritual, connection and non-judgement - a beautiful path for the mystery to unfold its gifts.
Please note that unlike many such offerings in Berlin, this temple is not focused on erotic play! Instead, we commune with creative energy through invoking the archetype of Baba Yaga.
------------------WHO IS BABA YAGA?
Baba Yaga is a prominent figure in Slavic folklore, known as a fearsome and enigmatic witch-like character. Depicted as an elderly, hunchbacked woman who lives deep in the forest, she represents an ancient and ambiguous feminine archetype, embodying both light and dark aspects in her various impulses as cannibal, child kidnapper, but also benevolent helper to lost souls, and guardian of secret knowledge.
She is a liminal Trickster figure who tests and guides heroes on their journeys, serving as a gatekeeper between different realms or stages of transformation. To come to her Temples is to invoke her power in our lives - to pray to something utterly wild, that can tip the scales to dark places within we don’t often travel to.
------------------WHO ARE THOSE TEMPLES FOR?
Advanced templars and ninjas of boundaries and consent. We will be spending no time on these topics, assuming you have a solid practice (not theory) of being a caring guardian of your own truth and that of others.
Ritual spaces have the potential to provide slippery ground and intense experiences, so strong practices of boundaries/consent are vitally important.

Joy Thunder is a temple artist, poet and facilitator.
She designs experiences of ritual, sensuality and community. She is devoted to modern-day Mystery Schools such as ISTA and the Temple Trainings.
Her background involves 10 years of traveling and curating 1-on-1 ceremonies, through the arts of Tantric massage and Ritualistic Tattoos. She has deeply immersed in Sacred Sexuality communities, and is currently publishing her first book of poems.
